Virtual Introductory R Workshops

Becker Medical Library and the Institute for Informatics are pleased  to offer several introductory R workshops in October and November. These virtual introductory R workshops will provide background information about the R programming language, R packages and Bioconductor for R. Attendees will also learn how to use RStudio to run basic R code to explore, analyze and visualize data.

Introduction to R – Data Visualization in R Using ggplot2

  • This workshop will cover installing, loading and managing R packages as well as basic data visualization using the ggplot2 package.

Introduction to R – Visualization of COVID-19 Data Using R

  • This workshop will explore the structure of publicly available COVID-19 data and methods to visualize the data with an aim to understand the disease epidemiology.
